Xorg log file grows continuously with AUDIT messages

Issue

  • Xorg.0.log file starts growing with AUDIT logs as below:

    AUDIT: Tue Aug 27 08:19:46 2013: 3174: client 1 connected from local host (uid=0 gid=0 pid=3160 ) Auth name: MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 ID: 605
    AUDIT: Tue Aug 27 08:19:46 2013: 3174: client 2 connected from local host ( uid=0 gid=0 pid=3211 ) Auth name: MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 ID: 605
    AUDIT: Tue Aug 27 08:19:46 2013: 3174: client 2 disconnected.
    
  • What are these AUDIT messages? and How can I disable them?
