ProxyPass worker name too long in HTTPD

Issue

When I try to start up Apache HTTPD it fails to start due to a Syntax Error complaining about the ProxyPass worker name being too long:

Mar 31 14:06:04 rhel7 httpd[2537]: AH00526: Syntax error on line 355 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
Mar 31 14:06:04 rhel7 httpd[2537]: ProxyPass worker name (http://this.is.a.really.long.domain.example.com/with/a/really/long/request/path/and/lots/of/letters) too long

AH02808: Alert! worker name *** too long; truncated to: ***.
