Issue

  • Downloaded ClamAV from the internet. Getting dependency issues upon installation:

    --> Processing Dependency: libclamav.so.6()(64bit) for package: clamd
    ---> Package clamav-db.x86_64 0:0.95.3-1.el5.rf set to be updated
    --> Finished Dependency Resolution
    clamd-0.95.3-1.el5.rf.x86_64 from clamd-0.95.3-1.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm has depsolving problems
      --> Missing Dependency: libclamav.so.6()(64bit) is needed by package clamd-0.95.3-1.el5.rf.x86_64 (clamd-0.95.3-1.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm)
    clamd-0.95.3-1.el5.rf.x86_64 from clamd-0.95.3-1.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm has depsolving problems

  • Security requirements can dictate a scanner such as ClamAV be used and come from a trusted source. Can ClamAV be added to a Red Hat repository?
