bmc-watchdog shows error message by default

Issue

  • bmc-watchdog daemon starts automatically by default. Its start-script shows "OK", but the service does not start.
  • It shows the following message and exits unexpectedly.
    /usr/sbin/bmc-watchdog[9304]: timer stopped by another process

  • This issue is caused by bmc-watchdog not supporting the ARS(Advanced Server Recovery).

Environment

  • RHEL 6.5
