Issue

  • lpfc unknown ELS command x18 appears daily in /var/log/messages, although there are no IO disruptions observed at the time of following messages:

    kernel: lpfc 0000:04:00.1: 1:(0):0115 Unknown ELS command x18 received from NPORT xfffc7c
kernel: lpfc 0000:04:00.0: 0:(0):0115 Unknown ELS command x18 received from NPORT xfffc7b
kernel: lpfc 0000:04:00.0: 0:(0):0115 Unknown ELS command x18 received from NPORT xfffc7b
kernel: lpfc 0000:04:00.1: 1:(0):0115 Unknown ELS command x18 received from NPORT xfffc7c

  • What does above error messages indicate? is this a bug?
