GTK+ applications show warning "Couldn't connect to accessibility bus"

SSH into a RHEL 7 and later machine and run a GTK+ application (eg:
gedit). A message like this is shown:** (gedit:23301): WARNING **: Couldn't connect to accessibility bus: Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-4jKXtHuxPN: Connection refused
