How can I customize the jBPM logging service?

Issue

We are using jBPM, and the size of the JBPM_LOG table increases dramatically. It starts to cause workflow performance issues. We know that we can completely disable the DbLoggingServiceFactory to have no records added to the JBPM_LOG table at all, but we are interested in certain types of logging events.
I would like to persist only certain log types such as ActionLog, SignalLog, etc. into JBPM_LOG table. Could you provide an example of filtered logging in jBPM?
