RHEL: Very slow printer output
Issue
Extremely slow printer operation, sporadically (a few times a week), starting during a print job.
Pauses of over a minute between output pages.
Sometimes recovers in the middle of a print job.
Environment

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
- Network-connected printer
