"Error Class Code: 1001", during system registration through RHN Proxy

Issue

  • While registering/updating client system via RHN Proxy server it fails with "Internal Server Error"
  • up2date --register --serverUrl=http://rhn_proxy_url/XMLRPC

Returns:

Error Class Code: 1001 
Error Class Info: RHN Proxy unable to login. 
Explanation: 
     An error has occurred while processing your request. If this problem 
     persists please enter a bug report at bugzilla.redhat.com. 
     If you choose to submit the bug report, please be sure to include 
     details of what you were trying to do when this error occurred and 
     details on how to reproduce this problem.

Environment

  • Red Hat Network (RHN) Proxy 5.0
  • Red Hat Network (RHN) Hosted
  • Red Hat Network (RHN) Satellite.
