RHEL 6 initscripts issues warning on network start "bonding: cannot add bond bond0; already exists"
Issue
- VLAN on top of bonding is functional however every boot the following is seen in dmesg:
kernel: Ethernet Channel Bonding Driver: v3.6.0 (September 26, 2009)
kernel: bonding: bond0 is being created...
kernel: bonding: cannot add bond bond0; already exists
kernel: bonding: Bond creation failed.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- VLAN on top of bonding.
- Configuration is done according to https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/solutions/28421
