Exploded deployment not working as expected in EAP 6

Issue

• How to deploy application in Exploded format in EAP 6
• Getting 404 error while deploying exploded (i.e expanded) deployment from extracted archieved/zip deployed war in EAP 6
• Issue while reading data from directory structure when applications are deployed in the archived format, hence how to deploy application in folder/exploded format.
• The most common reason for using exploded deployments is to workaround incorrect code that attempts to load resources in the deployment as a File Refer link
• why is my exploded "project" folder not deploying - it only deploys if I call it "project.ear"
