How to make NIC names persistent across reboots in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5?
Issue
- Sometimes a system reboots and has reordered its network interfaces at boot time, resulting in a different naming of those interfaces. How to guarantee consistent NIC names across reboots?
- My Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 system has network interfaces named
___tmp, noteth0, how can I fix this?
