Issue

  • Why is the Kubernetes apiserver failing to start on boot in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 ?
  • Following messages were noticed in the logs

    Jul 28 01:03:52 XXXX kube-apiserver: I0728 01:03:52.685985     570 plugins.go:69] No cloud provider specified.
    Jul 28 01:03:52 XXXX kube-apiserver: I0728 01:03:52.686286     570 master.go:243] Node port range unspecified. Defaulting to 30000-32766.
    Jul 28 01:03:52 XXXX kube-apiserver: F0728 01:03:52.687154     570 master.go:264] Unable to find suitable network address.error='Unable to select an IP.' . Will try again in 5 seconds. Set the public address directly to avoid this wait.
    Jul 28 01:03:52 XXXX systemd: kube-apiserver.service: main process exited, code=exited, status=255/n/a
    Jul 28 01:03:52 XXXX systemd: Unit kube-apiserver.service entered failed state.
