On RHEL6 system, there is a limitation that the maximum number of open file descriptors for the
dbus-daemon --sessionprocess is set to a value of 1024.
This is not enough for systems where users execute many gnome sessions(approximately 55 concurrent plus a few user applications in each gnome session).
In above case the
dbus-daemoneasily hits its 1024 file descriptor limit. This results in
dbus-daemonconsuming 100% processor and requiring a reboot of the machine to recover.
Is there any method to increase
dbus-daemonresource limits ?
