Server reboots frequently - "/usr/sbin/bmc-watchdog[xxxx]: timer stopped by another process"

Issue

  • Server gets reboot every 22 minutes
  • Installing RHEL 6.6 causes issue, works fine for RHEL 6.4
  • Error message - "/usr/sbin/bmc-watchdog[xxxx]: timer stopped by another process"

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • DELL R520
  • bmc-watchdog
