Why VLAN interface configured on top of bond is failing to come up with error 'Connection activation failed: Failed to determine connection's virtual interface name' ?
Issue
- While trying to bring up VLAN interface which is configured on top of bond interface with
ifupcommand , its failing to come up with error as below:
ifup bond0.NN Error: Connection activation failed: Failed to determine connection's virtual interface name
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.X
- VLAN configured on top of bond
