Error at boot: "systemd[1]: multipathd.service operation timed out. Terminating."

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The multipathd service is failing to start at boot time.
  • During boot the following messages are logged and the multipathd fails to start. However the daemon can be started manually once the system boots without issue.
