How can I set the timeout of VMWare virtual disks using udev?
Issue
- When running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) as a guest within VMware, VMware support may make the recommendation that timeouts for virtual disk devices are increased to '180'.
- Virtualized disks are timing out and switching to read-only.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6
- VMware ESX 4.1 (Kandinsky)
- VMware tools version 8.3.2
