DM-Multipath is not creating symbolic link between multipath device maps and /dev/dm-N devices

Issue

  • We have assigned new SAN devices to the system, but it was observed that dm-multipath was not creating the symbolic link between new multipath device maps /dev/mapper/mpathX and corresponding /dev/dm-N devices:
