'Unexpected internal error near index 1' when trying to rename files in JBDS

Issue

We are migrating from EDS 5.3.1 to JBoss Data Virtualization 6.0 and running into some JBoss Developer Studio (Teiid Designer) 7.1.1 Issues:
When trying to rename files (Right-click -> Refactor -> Rename) I see the following error. This seems to prevent me from renaming any file:

Unexpected internal error near index 1

From what I understand this issue is present only when developing on Windows.
