  • ntpd are working as two processs.

    Sample ps command output is below

    ntp       1848  0.0  0.0  30440  1656 ?        Ss   Jul02   0:00 ntpd -u ntp:ntp -p /var/run/ntpd.pid -g
    root      1855  0.0  0.0  30440  1144 ?        S    Jul02   0:00 ntpd -u ntp:ntp -p /var/run/ntpd.pid -g
