RHEL6.5: NFS4 client unable to reconnect TCP connection with NetApp filer, NFS client TCP remains in TCP_SYN_SENT state
Issue
nfs4 communication hangs and error messages "nfs: server foobar not responding, still trying" is showing in the logs. In some cases it will recover after 10-15 minutes in other only reboot will solve the problem.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.5 (NFS client)
- Seen on kernel 2.6.32-431.5.1.el6.x86_64
- NetApp NFS server
- NFSv4
