Kickstart installation fails with a dracut error "Sorry, automatic calculation of netmask is not yet supported"
Issue
- Copying the
/root/anaconda-ks.cfgfile from a successful interactive Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 installation and using it for an automated kickstart of the same server yields the error:
[5.042300] dracut: FATAL: Sorry, automatic calculation of netmask is not yet supported
[5.042488] dracut: Refusing to continue
- It stops and reboots after this message.
