Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • XFS became slow after 1TB of data (out of 4TB) was deleted. Fragmentation was suspected as the cause and was checked, but the fragmentation percentage of the filesystem turned out to be very small.

Environment

  • Red Hat Storage Server (RHSS) 2.0
  • XFS
