Red Hat Enterprise Linux Releases in Extended Life Phase

It is strongly recommended not to conduct any new development efforts on Red Hat Enterprise Linux releases that are in their Extended Life Phase. For example, as per the Extended Life Phase definition in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Life Cycle policy:

"... No bug fixes, security fixes, hardware enablement or root-cause analysis will be available during this phase, and support will be provided on existing installations only."
