Updated 2014-03-10T14:07:20+00:00

Issue

  • Upgrade to RHEL 6.3 has introduced a problem whereby we can no longer change/set the ownership of files on NFS 4 filesystems.
  • chown fails if nfs share has mounted with nfs v4.

    # chown test.test /mnt/foo
chown: changing ownership of `/mnt/foo': Invalid argument

Environment
