How to use pam_cifscreds with RHEL 8
Issue
- Users accessing a SMB share with NTLMSSP/NTLM security and the
multiusermount option have to authenticate to the SMB server with# cifscreds - Authentication has to occur each time the user logs in.
- Would like to use
pam_cifscredsto avoid having to manually run# cifscredsprior to accessing the SMB share.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8
cifs-utilspam_cifscreds- Non-kerberized SMB file shares
