Performance problems with flow-to-disk queues in qpid broker

Issue

We see a significant performance drop of message consumption when using flow-to-disk (FTD) queue in these scenarios:

  • one producer enqueueing to FTD and multiple consumers dequeueing the FTD
  • multiple producers enqueueing to a FTD and single consumer dequeueing the FTD

Message throughput of consumer(s) is e.g. 20 times worse than having single producer and single consumer scenario.
