[emerg] create_mem_node manager.node failed: File exists

Issue

  • We run multiple httpd instances together on one server with mod_cluster. The first instance boots fine, but all other httpd instances after that fail to start with an error like the following:

    [emerg] create_mem_node /opt/jboss/httpd/logs/manager.node failed: File exists

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP)
  • JBoss Enterprise Web Server
  • Apache httpd
  • mod_cluster
