Issue

  • Apache httpd consistently going unavailable every few minutes and results in extensive php-fpm errors according to the logs. Even after bouncing apache and php-fpm, the issue is reproduced in a matter of minutes,The following error appears in the apache error logs several times per second:
[proxy_fcgi:error] [pid xxxx:tid xxxxxxx] (70007)The timeout specified has expired: [client 127.0.0.1:23352] AH01075: Error dispatching request to : (polling), referer: https://www.example.com/foo/bar/index.php

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x, 8.x, 9.x (RHEL)
    • httpd

  • RHSCL 2.x Apache httpd24 configured with mod_proxy_fcgi
