[Satellite 6.2] No Errata email notification coming to the user getting access denied for user `foreman' from `cron'

Issue

  • Host errata email notification not received daily even after following steps given in Configuring Satellite Server for Outgoing Emails.

  • If run through # /usr/sbin/foreman-rake reports:daily --trace then notification is send to the user.

  • Below error observed in /var/log/cron

Jul 24 12:00:01 id-sat-prd crond[5446]: pam_access(crond:account): access denied for user `foreman' from `cron'
Jul 24 12:00:01 id-sat-prd crond[5447]: pam_access(crond:account): access denied for user `foreman-proxy' from `cron'

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite 6.2
  • Red Hat Enteprise Linux (all versions)
