Server runs for about 2 weeks and then stops logging messages until we restart rsyslogd daemon

Issue

• Every two weeks, more or less, the server stops logging messages until we restart rsyslogd daemon
• In that state it also experience latency after entering the password for ssh
• It also experiences latency trouble when running sudo to another user
• There is also trouble stopping and starting application processes
• However, once rsyslog gets restarted everything goes back to normal
