Issue

  • In a newly built RHEV 3.0 environment, virtual machine migrations fail with two messages in the RHEV Event Log.

    • The error on the destination host is

      VM [vmname] is down. Exit message Lost connection with qemu process.

    • The error on the source host is

      Migration failed (VM: [vmname], Source Host: [hostname])

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager (RHEV-M) 3.0
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 update 2 and update 3 Hypervisors
