"scim-bridge: The lockfile is destroied" is recorded in syslog when a certain desktop application exits.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Desktop Environment (e.g. GNOME)
- SCIM
Issue
The following message is recorded in syslog when gnome-terminal exits:
scim-bridge: The lockfile is destroied
Is there a problem by this message having been recorded?
Resolution
This message is output when 'scim-bridge' succeeds to delete the lock file. It does not indicate a problem.
Because the log level of message is not appropriate, the syslog is recorded when a certain desktop application is finished. This was fixed so that it does not output for debugging purposes other than the log level in RHBA-2012-0578.
Since this message does not indicate the problem as mentioned above, please ignore it or update the package.
After updating the package, if you want to output the message intentionally, refer to How do get debugging information from the scim-bridge daemon?.
