In EAP 6 is it possible to have a Service Binding Manager (global template) containing the port offset that is shared across all instances?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • In EAP 5.1.x, using the Service Binding Manager (SBM), every EAP instance had the same $JBOSS_HOME//server/$PROFILE/conf/bindingservice.beans/META-INF/bindings-jboss-beans.xml allowing us to standardise port configuration. We were able to create a global template by configuring binding sets and injecting only a single one. Is this option available in EAP 6?
In our environment we need to be able to standardise the ports that are going to be used across all applications.
  • What is the equivalent of a service binding manager in EAP 6?

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 6.x
    • Standalone mode
    • Linux
