RHEL 6.5 x86_64 boot.iso and UEFI
This doc, 2.2.2. Minimal USB Boot Media for UEFI-based Systems says :
Red Hat does not provide an image to produce minimal boot CDs or DVDs for UEFI-based systems.
However, according to Table 2.1 (scroll up the page),
Architecture - UEFI-based AMD64 and Intel 64
Installation DVD - x86_64 DVD ISO image file
Boot CD or boot DVD - rhel-variant-version-x86_64boot.iso
boot.iso does support UEFI. There is images/efidisk.img in boot.iso. Is the above documentation in error?
Responses
Hi,
Enable F5 UEFI at F10-> boot order
Hi Kelvin,
I guess Akemi knows how to use UEFI, but was confused about statement in the documentation.
This will be fixed by Red Hat's documentation team.
The options you point out may be hardware dependend, so please state the brand and type of the hardware you use for the example.
Kind regards,
