JON cannot observe my EAP 6.x

Latest response

I have installed JON 3.1.2 and JBoss EAP 6.1.1 and 6.2.0 and in the JON Inventory there is problem with doscovering JBoss resources:

No configuration was retrieved. This means that either the plugin failed to load the configuration or that configuration collection is merely switched off in the connection settings.

Failed to retrieve member Resource configurations for [ResourceGroup[id=10001, name=JBoss-02-JON.localdomain ( JBossAS7 Standalone Server ), category=COMPATIBLE, type=JBossAS7 Standalone Server, isDynaGroup=false, isClusterGroup=false]]

Another resources are discovered ok. Can somebody help me?

Hi,
did you install you JBoss EAP 6.1.1 and 6.2.0 instances the default way? Meaning that you did not change the directory structure or start skripts of your instances?
I'm facing a similiar problem at the moment but I reconstructed my folder structure, sourced out the standalone folder and duplicated it and created custom start skripts. I guess for me that is the reason why JON does not discover any JBoss ressources on this server.
Maybe this helps as a hint...

Hi,
I have EAPs in default structure. I didn't change it. Did you allow something in JBoss configuration? Do you use aslo JON 3.1.2?
Thank you

Solution for me it was set the connection setting
https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/JBoss_Operations_Network/3.1/html/How_to_Manage_JBoss_Servers/cxn-settings.html

Click the Inventory tab in the top menu.
Select Servers - Top Level Imports in the Resources menu table on the left. Select the JBoss EAP 6 server.
In the inventory tree, select the top resource entry for the server.
Open the Inventory tab, and select the Connection Settings subtab.
