Upgrading RHEL Versions Managed by Satellite 6.10 to 8.10 - Seeking Reliable Scenario

Latest response

Hello Red Hat community,

We currently have multiple versions of RHEL (8.4, 8.5, 8.6, and 8.7), all with the same kernel version (4.18.0-372.9.1.el8.x86_64), managed by Satellite 6.10. We are planning to upgrade these systems to RHEL 8.10. As these systems are virtual machines, we are looking for the most reliable scenario for this upgrade.

Could you please share your experiences or suggest a reliable upgrade scenario for moving from RHEL 8.4, 8.5, 8.6, and 8.7 to 8.10? Are there any specific considerations, best practices, or potential challenges we should be aware of in the Satellite-managed environment?

Thank you in advance for your valuable insights and recommendations.

Best regards,
