Support for 10000Mbit/s network cards

I bought 3 servers from 2 different vendors (HP and DELL). These servers were supposed to use MPI for passing information from one server to the other. However the connection is at 1000 Mbit/s (the most common used). I would like to update the network card of these machines to 10000Mbit/s (I will buy PCI cards) and use an adequate switch. Now, the machines have mounted Linux RHEL 7 or 8 . Do these operating systems support the 10000 Mb/s connections? Is there any specific hardware required?
