  • Question about importing a known good kickstart

    Posted on

I'm getting back up to speed with Satellite, haven't played with it in over 4 years and I'm rusty as heck. I have a known good kickstart that I use with cobbler, and I really just want to import the existing kickstart into Satellite 6.13.

Problem is, I'm looking at all of the provisioning templates which resolve when I create a new host, and I am concerned about the "right" way to just import an existing kickstart.

I feel like I need to clone maybe the kickstart default provisioning template, and replace the clone with the kickstart that I want. But... There are SO many snippets in the other provisioning templates, I am not sure if that's smart.

What do y'all do if you just want to use an existing, known good kickstart template?
