Difficulty rebooting or powering down workstations with RHEL 8

Hi everyone,

I work with two Dell Precision workstations each with RHEL 8 as part of my job. Periodically, when I go to reboot either of these workstations, it won't go back to the Dell splash page and then commence the rebooting; it will just hang with a blank screen after I enter the command or select it in the GUI. Alternatively, periodically I've had an issue with either workstation where it will randomly crash to where I need to do a cold boot to get the given workstation running again. I'd like to ask the forum what might be causing this issue, and how should I fix it?
