McAfee/Trellix Client stops

It has been dictated that the machines on our network use the McAfee client to allow IT to look at machines with their ESS server. McAfee is now Trellix. We had been able to get it working on RHEL 7 workstation, but the latest version 5.7.7 which now claims it is a Trellix service agent, no longer Mcafee. The agent keeps stopping.
Trellix offers we should install their SElinux rpm.
My search in redhat.com finds a 2020 discussion about not needing antivirus (we now have the malware Shikitega that takes control of Linux systems, the ransomware Lockbit, and Dirtycred are recent exploits).
My question is has anyone been working with McAfee/Trellix agents on their RHEL7 workstations?
And are they having any issues with version 5.7.7 working?
