NetworkManager cannot get PPPoE working on my RTL8125 Ethernet chip

OS Version: RHEL 9
Kernel Version: Linux PegionFishNAS 5.14.0-70.13.1.el9_0.x86_64 #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Apr 14 12:42:38 EDT 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Problem: I can't get PPPoE working via both nmtui and nmcli.

NetworkManager returns with "Error: Connection activation failed: The device could not be readied for configuration"
I've tried to recompile RTL8125 driver from RealTek's website since it may be a driver issue on RHEL's kernel but it doesn't help, disabling and re-enabling the port I use by nmcli con down&up doesn't help either.
journalctl's output as follows, but I can't get where the problem is.
