Query about RHEL 4.6 and dynamically adding/removing LUNs ?

Hi,

What method to use for RHEL 4.6 to dynamically adding/removing LUNs ?

I came across the https://access.redhat.com/site/solutions/3941

but it is long and very confusing for system admin as various comments describe various ways.

So, what is the supported way to achieve this ?

Will appreciate feedback from RH team.

Disclaimer: I understand that RHEL 4.6 may be out of support, but my qn is related to legacy systems.

Acording to this KB there is no way to do it online:

Reboot is only option.
