rhev-guest-agent doesn't connect to rhev-m

Latest response

Ive got a new rhel6.4 vm installed with the rhev guest agent, but nothing (no IP, cpu usage etc) appears in the rhev-m...

# yum list installed |grep rhev

rhevm-guest-agent.x86_64           1.0.5-8.el6ev             @rhel-6-server-rhev-agent-rpms

# service ovirt-guest-agent status

ovirt-guest-agent (pid  1845) is running...# service ovirt-guest-agent status

Can anyone point me in the right direction to diagnose?

ovirt-guest-agent (pid  1845) is running...

Actually - nevermind;

although id rebooted the vm since installing the agent and a yum update etc.... I just shutdown the vm completely and started it again, now its running on a different host and is reporting into the rhev-m.

Weird.

I hate these IT Crowd Solutions: "have you tried switching it off and back-on again?"

I experienced the same and opened a bug report. Unfortunately, I had to destroy my test environment so I can not reproduce it anymore. If you can do it I would suggest you to open a bug report too.
