What does Auto-Attach provide?

I have 14 RHEL servers in my environment.

5 are running Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.10 (Santiago, 2.6.32-754.43.1.el6.x86_64) and are entitled for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server, Premium (Physical or Virtual Nodes) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Extended Life Cycle Support (Physical or Virtual Nodes)

9 servers are running Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.9 (Maipo, 3.10.0-1160.53.1.el7.x86_64) and are entitled for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server, Premium (Physical or Virtual Nodes)

There is an option in the system Details page to Enable or Disable Auto Attach. What does Auto Attach provide?

What are the pros & cons if I set it to Enabled?
What are the pros & cons if I set it to Disabled?
