change umask in tomcat6

hello,

I've installed a new redhat6 vm, I need to change the default umask of my tomcat6 0022 to 0002. In other installations running rhel4 and 5 it was enough to add the new umask in /etc/tomcat5/tomcat5.conf (as explained in some docs I read), now it works only if I change in /etc/profile.
