change umask in tomcat6

Latest response

hello,

I've installed a new redhat6 vm, I need to change the default umask of my tomcat6 0022 to 0002. In other installations running rhel4 and 5 it was enough to add the new umask in /etc/tomcat5/tomcat5.conf (as explained in some docs I read), now it works only if I change in /etc/profile.

does someone found a similar behaviour?

I would avoid to change /etc/profile does someone has some suggestion?

thank you

bye

To adjust the umask of your Tomcat6 instance, you can edit /etc/init.d/tomcat6. About 27 lines in you should be able to find a 'umask' command and you can adjust it to your liking there.
