Subscriptions Status "Disabled"

Latest response

rhel8 SubscriptionHi, I have a new Virtual Machine of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.5 Beta. On VMware. I have 1 Beta and 1 Developer subscription. Both expire in 3/2022. I just Destroyed my old RHEL 8.2 VM. It was using the Developer subscription. So, I'm trying to Register and Attach my new Beta install. After registering, I get status "Disabled." And can't auto attach. I'm attaching a screenshot. Of subscription. I've tried subscription manager "clean" and "unregister." etc...

sudo subscription-manager list
sudo subscription-manager list --available
sudo subscription-manager list --consumed

sudo subscription-manager repos --list
sudo subscription-manager repos --list-enabled
sudo subscription-manager repos --list-disabled

sudo subscription-manager status

And unregister and register many times in Subscription Manager. So, how do I Register and Attach my old Beta subscription? I had this problem once and waited 24 hours. And it worked. I'll wait. Please reply. Thanks

Hi Mike,

If you have Simple Content Access enabled what you report is expected behavior. :)
To attach the RHEL Beta subscription you have to find the Pool ID and then attach.

sudo subscription-manager list --available
sudo subscription-manager attach --pool=<Pool-ID>

Christian

Hi, thanks for your reply. I got it working. I disabled Simple Content and then Registered. And then -unset mismatched. Thanks again

You're welcome, Mike ! :)
