How to create brick (Red hat storage server)

Latest response

Hi All,

I want to add brick to the volume in Red hat virtualization manager.

I installed Glusterfs on RHEL server virtual machine and i am to create brick successfully.

But i am not able to add RHEL server virtual machine(Glusterfs installed) to the hosts list and that's why not able to create a volume with brick.

Do i need Redhat storage server to create bricks?

Will it not work with RHEL server OS?

Regards,
Ankit

hi Ankit,

Bricks are part of Red Hat Storage.
I have not seen away to manage them on Native RHEL. In the "supported" configuration a RHEL server is a client of a Red Hat Storage environment.

Ankit, you do need Red Hat Storage Server instead of upstream/community GlusterFS to maintain a supported environment with RHEV. Else, the storage side would be unsupported.
