Cannot install MySQL

Latest response

Hi,

Hoping someone can help.
I cannot install mysql and I want to be able to configure and test "innoDB Cluster" for mysql.

The first time I tried I got "No Package mysql-server available". I have googled this and followed the requested repo installs but it fails each time with a 404 error.

So, I looked at what repo was expected for the mysql-server and relevant packages as follows:

yum provides "*bin/mysqld"

Giving the following repo:

rh-mysql80-mysql-server-8.0.17-1.el7.x86_64: The MySQL server and related files:
Repo : rhel-server-rhscl-7-rpms
Matched from:
Filename: /opt/rh/rh-mysql80/root/usr/sbin/mysqld

So, I have searched through the repos and do not seem to have the one mentioned in the readout above.

This may be a very simple solution but I am new to this part of configs as last time (couple of years ago) I simply completed a yum install with no issues.

I am using RHEL7.9 ISO in a vSphere virtualised environment.
The system has been registered and subscribed.

Anyone have any ideas on how to or where to get the required mysql files please?
